AI FUTURES CHART ANALYSIS
Screenshot Your ES or NQ Chart. Get the Read.
WickScan turns a screenshot of any futures chart — E-minis and micros (ES, NQ, YM, RTY, MES, MNQ), energies, metals, on TradingView, NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Sierra Chart or your broker's app — into a structured trade setup: entry, stop-loss and target read from the chart's own point scale, with detected patterns, a risk-reward ratio and a confidence score. Three AI engines analyze every chart in consensus. Nothing connects to your platform, nothing is installed, and it's free to start — no credit card.
How do I analyze a futures chart with AI?
- 1. Screenshot the chart on your platform. ES or NQ in TradingView, a Tradovate or NinjaTrader window, a Sierra Chart layout, a prop-firm dashboard, a phone capture of your broker app. Include the price axis — WickScan calibrates a price-to-pixel map from those labels, which is what makes the levels real point numbers rather than estimates.
- 2. Upload, paste or drag it in. A free account takes seconds and needs no card. Nothing touches your trading platform: no API key, no broker login, no add-on inside NinjaTrader or your prop-firm account. The optional browser extension scans any chart image you right-click.
- 3. Read the structured setup. Three AI engines — WickVision, WickLogic and WickPattern — read the chart independently and return one consensus verdict: direction, detected patterns, support and resistance, and a complete trade bracket with entry, stop-loss, target, risk-reward and confidence. When the chart doesn't justify a trade, the read says so and hands you the trigger levels to watch instead — which on a chopping 1-minute index chart is frequently the honest answer.
What makes futures charts different for an AI reader?
Three things, and they all come back to precision. Index futures print four- and five-figure prices where a single point is real money, so a level that is "about 24,900" is not a level at all — WickScan reads the axis labels your platform drew, calibrates against the gridlines, and sanity-checks the resulting scale before reporting anything. Second, futures traders live on low timeframes: 30-second and 1-minute charts are ordinary here, and the read treats the structure it can see — break of structure, higher highs and lower lows, supply and demand zones, trendlines and channels, 40+ candlestick and structural patterns — rather than assuming a daily-chart rhythm. Third, contract symbols carry their month: NQU6 and NQZ6 are different charts, and your journal keeps them apart instead of blending them into one ticker.
One boundary worth stating plainly, because it is the question every futures trader should ask a tool like this: WickScan does not know your tick value, your contract multiplier, your account size or your daily loss limit, so it will never tell you how many contracts to trade. It gives you the inputs that decision needs — a stop at a named structural invalidation, a target at a level the chart itself shows, and the risk-reward between them — and leaves the sizing where it belongs. It also cannot place, modify or close an order: it reads an image and returns text. If you trade a funded or evaluation account, your firm's own rules on analysis tools remain yours to check.
How is this different from pasting the chart into ChatGPT?
A general assistant will describe your NQ chart fluently and estimate the levels — and estimate them differently every time you ask, on an instrument where twenty points is a stop. It has no price-to-pixel calibration, no second opinion, and no way to say "there is no trade here." WickScan does one job: a calibrated, repeatable technical read of the chart image itself, cross-checked by three engines, with an explicit abstain when the structure doesn't support a setup. We keep honest head-to-head comparisons here: WickScan vs ChatGPT, vs Claude and vs TradingView. There's also a worked example on a live micro E-mini session: the MES read, start to finish. Is it free?
Yes — WickFree is a permanent free tier with no credit card and the complete analysis output, including the exact entry, stop-loss and take-profit read. The free scan allowance never recharges; WickPro ($29.99/month list price) recharges it every week and adds WickAI training. WickScan is an educational analysis tool operated by Pnav Systems LLC — it does not stream live market data, connect to a broker, execute trades or promise outcomes, and nothing it produces is financial advice. Futures trading carries substantial risk of loss.
Frequently asked questions
Can AI analyze a futures chart from a screenshot?
Yes. WickScan reads the pixels of your futures chart: it finds the chart area and the contract symbol, reads the price axis, and calibrates a price-to-pixel map against the gridlines before reporting a single level — so support, resistance, entry, stop-loss and target land on the point scale your chart actually shows. Three AI engines analyze the chart independently and their consensus becomes the final read, with a confidence score attached.
Which contracts does it read — ES, NQ, YM, CL, GC, the micros?
All of them, because the read comes from the image rather than a symbol lookup. Equity index futures (ES, NQ, YM, RTY) and their micros (MES, MNQ, MYM, M2K) are the most common charts here, but energies (CL, NG), metals (GC, SI) and ags read the same way. Contract-month symbols like NQU6 or ESZ6 are preserved exactly as your platform wrote them, so each contract keeps its own history in your journal.
Does it work with NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TopstepX and prop-firm platforms?
Yes. WickScan never connects to your platform or your account — you capture a screenshot and upload it, so NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Sierra Chart, thinkorswim, TradingView and any prop-firm dashboard all work identically. Nothing to install, no API keys, no broker login, and no order ever leaves your platform — WickScan reads an image and cannot place, modify or close a trade. If you are on a funded or evaluation account, check your firm's own rules on analysis tools; we can tell you what WickScan does, not what your agreement permits.
Does it know tick values or how many contracts I should trade?
No, and that boundary is deliberate. WickScan reads price structure and returns levels in the chart's own points — it does not know your contract multiplier, your tick value, your account size or your risk rules, so it never tells you a position size. What it does give you is the two numbers sizing actually depends on: a stop placed at a named structural invalidation and a target at a level the chart itself shows, plus the risk-reward ratio between them.
Futures charts are fast and intraday — does that break the read?
No. Low timeframes are the normal case here: 30-second, 1-minute and 5-minute index-futures charts are among the most-scanned images on WickScan. What matters is that the price axis is legible in the capture — the calibration comes from those labels. Overnight gaps, session breaks and thin globex candles are read as the structure they are, since the analysis only ever describes the image in front of it.
Does WickScan stream live futures quotes or the order book?
No, and that is deliberate. WickScan analyzes only the chart image you upload — no live quotes, no depth, no volume profile feed, no news, and no claim to verify outcomes against a data feed. You get a disciplined technical read of exactly what your chart shows, and you tag how each setup played out in your journal, which trains WickAI — a personal AI built on your own trades.
Is the free tier actually free?
Yes — permanently free, no credit card, and you get the complete analysis output: multi-engine consensus, patterns, support and resistance, and the exact entry, stop-loss and take-profit read. The free scan allowance never recharges; WickPro ($29.99/month list) recharges it every week.
